The needle-nosed Hawkeye SuperSlim
Borescope is just 95 thousandths of an inch in diameter (.109 with
a mirror tube). It slips through the tiniest openings to give
sharp, clear views. Machinists use it to inspect very small bores
for burrs and surface finish. Manufacturers of diesel fuel injector
nozzles check microscopic holes in spray tips and nozzles for
blockage or corrosion. In every case, superior inspection means no
rejects and consistently high quality, ensuring repeat
business.
All Hawkeye SuperSlim borescopes
have a 0° direction-of-view and 32° field-of-view. A rotating 90°
direction-of-view is achieved by sliding a SuperSlim Mirror Tube
onto the scope.
Quality control managers were
astonished at SuperSlim Borescope kit prices under one thousand
dollars, when our competitors charge two to three thousand. The
secret lies in our endoGRINS® lenses, far better suited to
micro-borescopes than other technologies.
Is the SuperSlim Borescope the true
all-rounder, fitting every application? Unfortunately, no. It does
fit through very small holes, however the image is smaller and
there is less light (from fewer optical fibers). All
micro-borescopes are quite delicate and must be treated more
carefully than larger-diameter scopes. The kit includes a
protective sheath for use when storing or shipping.
